Pitched roof extension help

Hi

I am a virgin forum writer, but have read some great posts and replys and was hoping that there might be someone with an alternate idea for my roof extension.

I have a L shaped design house and effectively want to fill in the missing section and make a square shape floor plan by having an open living area. As my roof is low pitched I have been advised the only way for me to go is to have the whole roof stripped back and repitched so the extension can be added - of course lots of $$$$.

I have attached the plan for the pitched roof if that helps. Any suggestions would be great, I hope I have put in enough information.:?
