When you are face with the chore of rearranging your shop for more efficiency do you?
A Plan it on paper.
B Jump right in and start planning as you go.
C Play musical tools till you get it right.
D Forget the whole darned thing.

you forgot the two most obvious options:
E Build an extension
F Build a whole new shed

I'm going with E at the moment, adding another 30M2 for storage space. Later there's another 60M2 going onto the main part of the shed for workspace (but I'd better pull my finger out and build us a new kitchen first!)

G Plan it in your head.
After I used E to extend the shop I used G to design it and F to add a finishing shed and now a wood store.

I agree with F and G as it seems that we never have enough room sometimes.
I found the as long as I have my tools on casters it really doesn't make any difference as you can move them any where you choose as needed.
The only tools in my shop that are not on casters are the floor model drill press and table saw. Everything else is movable. Quite handy at times and easy to move.
