You are going to construct a new house and the footing bottom is 40" below finished grade, and you are going to pour 8" of concrete for the footer.
How many concrete block will you need to have two block exposed above finished grade?

Good Evening Friends,
I keep forgetting that you blokes do things a little differently than we do up here.
Yes, the blocks for foundation walls are mostly 8" x 8" x 16 up here.
So if the bottom of the footing is 40" below finished grade and you pour an 8" footer then it would take 6 courses of block to be two blocks above finished grade.
Example; 40" - 8"footer = 32" to finish grade, so 32/8= 4 + 2 = 6 Blocks.
