Does my deck need sanding?

Hi Guys,

I'm new to the forum and have spent a couple of hours reading and I can't determine whether my deck needs to be stripped back or if I can just get away with a clean and a re-coat. The deck has gone about 18 months without anything done to it and half is covered while the other half is out in the sun.

As I am new to this any advice would be greatly appreciated!
