Level Floors

Hey...my house (it's my first :D) has quite unlevel floors throughout it, along with lots of other dodgy stuff. I'm think that the house may have been built badly, but I don't know anything about this stuff. Does anyone know how I can make them level? This is the biggest issue I have with my house and I really want to get it fixed, but I've got no idea where to start. Any help will be much appreciated.
