G'day all, I have finally arrived down under so it would be advisable to lock up your wives and daughters.
Can't do any woodwork or renovating as I need to find a house and all my tools are somewhere at sea in a container. I am going to pass some time voluteering with the CFA to help re-build some fences that were destroyed in the fires last summer.
It really is great to finally be here and I will try to contribute as soon as I learn the language.

Originally from UK but have lived in BC Canada since 1965. Last place I lived was Parksville on Vancouver Island.
Our daughter lives here so we have had lots of visits and decided it's cheaper to move here. Also, young people like us need the adventure!
I also spent some time here in 1957 whilst serving on an oil tanker around the coast from Geraldton to Brisbane.
Thanks for the welcome.
Regards
Bill

If you need to visit a shed or want to make something till your stuff gets here, I'm not too far from where you are. You're welcome to come up any time.

Why thank you kind sir. I will certainly keep that in mind although I don't think I will be doing too much until we find a house to buy. I will get back to you when I am finally convinced that the jet lag is over and I am more settled.
Best regards
Bill

Welcome to Oz Bill.
A little Ozzie humour to begin with:
They called you Bill because you arrived at the
end of the month.
Don't laugh too loud or you may encourage
others.:D

Hi Bill. Nice neck of the woods to live in. I am just through the forest in Tecoma. If you really need to get into the tools before yours show up I am sure they will let you come and play at the Knox community Woodworkers. They let me, so they must let anyone.:D Lots of tools and nice "old" blokes there.
