Long-time watcher, first-time poster. Registered a while ago and thought I'd better introduce m'self. Have always been reasonably handy fixing things etc. but have just started to get the bug for actually creating stuff (furniture etc.) from scratch rather than just fixing stuff that's broke.
Looking forward to the banter.

Lets guess...you've just entered your mid-life crisis stage, it's usually around that time that blokes get the urge:doh::q:U:D:D:D

Hi Luke, welcome aboard, What part of the old stek and kidney do you hail from? I lived in the hawkesbury valley for 13 years prior to moving up here, still miss the place. Bloody awesome part of the country.

Thanks. Yeah, originally from Newcastle, but follwed the work to Sydney about 10years ago (it was initially only going to be for a couple of years) and now find myself in Coogee. Just set up a work area downstairs in my storage room. It's pretty big (for a storage room) but it's still a little cramped and not very well vientilated. Have just sorted out dust extraction so I don't have to set myself up outside anymore and annoy the neighbours ...... unless of course the job is bulky!

Gooday to all, have just registered and like so many others am interested in becoming better at making things with wood. And obviously have a great deal to learn. Hope to get a few tips from you guys.
