Hi all, Phil here. I found this forum in search of resources to help me with a hobby that I hope to get better at. I will be getting my wood lathe tomorrow (nothing fancy) and hope to learn from the "gurus" here.
Apart from woodworking I am into motorsports (I have been through the superbike school at Philip Island) and also well deep into photography shooting mostly motorsports and avian.
I am a Master of a vessel at sea and did all my tickets in Oz from Sydney, Launceston to Melbourne!
Cheers now.

Hi turntwist
'avian'??? What is?
Which vessel? On board in Malaysia?
Sounds exciting.

Hi all,
Thanks for the warm welcome.
Capt Cain - After 11 years onboard general cargo, bulk carriers and container ships (boring liner runs) I moved over to the offshore industry and now playing with anchor handling tugs towing rigs worldwide the last 21 years. Currently working in Sakhalin on ice breaker class vessels.
Not really all that exciting but it puts food on the table and bit of beer money plus some for my toys! Avian as in bird photography, no I ain't no twitcher nor lister either. :U:U
