Hello boys and girls - am new here and joined because I am renovating my kitchen and need some advice. I really really want 50s style metal edging on my laminate benches (to match my 50s style renos) but none of the cabinetmaker/s, my usually useful husband, or any of the friends I have that have listened to my excited updates about the new kitchen with great restraint know - WHERE CAN I GET IT? You all know the stuff - it used to be on every laminate kitchen table in every kitchen everywhere. Does anyone still stock/make it in Australia?
:? Your sage advice would be much appreciated. Thankyou!

Welcome to the Bulletin Board.
I know the edging you are talking about.
Unfortunately I don't know where it could be sourced.

I'd take a piece in to a local sheet metal manufacturer, one that's
been around for a while, they may have something similar, or could
fold some up for you, or point you in the right direction, some of these
guys are great horders you might just get lucky.

I doubt if anyone would stock that item now. You could always resort to salvage yards, they may have something like that from old kitchens they have demolished. Sorry can't be of much help. Welcome to the forum. Hope you find some somewhere.

Hi BZZ....welcome to the forums :U
You might want to try bar countertop/barstool suppliers.
