No! Not you :p
I just cleaned my mouse ball, poor things only got one.
Anyway, just what is the junk that collects on the mouse ball?
I am inclined to think it is sort of mutant space stuff, attracted to mice?

It is basically bits of you that fall off onto your mouse mat and the get munged into the working surface of the ball.
So, in other words it is bits of used spam!!!

To avoid getting fluff on your mouse ball, get one of them new fangled optical mice.
The thing that worries me more is that they now have mouse pads with wings. :D

Bob, I prefer "Mice"
Mice/Mouses (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=mouses)
Or should we use Meeses? :D

Nope, sorry, just because you'vr found a dictionary referrence doesn't make 'mice' correct. I'm right, mice are rong.
Mouses shall rule the word.

Since the computer mouse was named because when you hold them up by the cable they look a hell of a lot like a mouse being held by the tail, mice is a perfectly acceptable plural for a computer mouse.

Well I have a mouse with no ball.
It's a bit like having no legs, it has nothing to keep it's body off the ground, so now all the pooey stuff sticks to the little runner bit around the edge of it....eewwwww.
At least it doesn't make any difference to it's operation.

However .. :) my current rodent doesn't have a tail or a ball. How does it breed?

Could it be that the mouse mat is made from female pubic mouse fluff?
And I will throw Mici into the ring as a plural, I know it's wrong but Bob will just have to take up the challenge :D

I'd hate to have the job of giving all those female mouseses :D a Brazillian just to make mats from.
mouse, mouses, mice, meeses, mici, mouseses, or mooses?

Just as an interesting aside from this deep and meaningful thread ... Did you know that mouse movement is measured in Mickeys? (I am sure all you programmers out there knew this but lots of others don't.)
mickey: a unit of measure for movement of mouse, approx. 1/200 of an inch.
And I will throw Mici into the ring as a plural, I know it's wrong but Bob will just have to take up the challenge And so Iain you just mispelled it a bit, it should actually be a Mickey. :D :D :D

If your mouse ball’s lacking lustre
And you’ve tried it with a duster
But your duster won’t pass muster
Then you need . . .
Something that’ll keep it rollin’
That’ll keep you in control an’
Keep your mouse out of a hole an’
What you need . . .
Well, the answer is a cracker!
It’s Max Factor Knacker Lacquer!
Adds a lustre to your cluster!
That’s what you need!
