I am building a cabinet from chipboard covered with mahogany veneer ( as delivered).
I would appreciate any suggestions as to what timber to use as edging, so that after staining the edging is not obvious against the mahogany veneer
regards,
Jill

G'day Jill,
I was thinking maybe a matching veneer edging may be found at one of the usual suppliers, or had you thought of going the other way and edging with a totally different wood for contrast.
Just my 2 cents worth

In a recent FWW magazine they demonstrated harvesting edge banding from a veneered board to get an exact match.

Thanks mat, that sounds interesting slicing 1mm veneer off MDF. Do you recall which month, please?
