This home is in Canberra.
Two adults and two kids. Brick veneer house average size will insulation only in the walls at this point.
Gas range and water heating.
One Reverse Cycle AC (8Kw)
Fluro lighting in the main living areas.
One 68cm crt TV and one 40 inch Plama TV, two foxtel units , one dvd, game console and amplifier (all running 24/7 on standby at least).
One dishwasher (one load a day), one washing machine (load just about every day) and one drier (used every three days or so).
One server on 24/7
One PC that never gets turned off ( I wish they would at least hibernate it it at night)
Another PC that does get hiberated each night (mine).
Does anyone think that this power comsumption is over the top? How does your home stack up.
