G'day, this looks like a great website. My name is Marcus and I'm 22 from Melbourne. I'm an electrical apprentice but really love doing wood work as a hobby. I'm moving into a new house next year and will no doubt be carrying out many projects of my own. I'm a newbie and am only just starting to learn and aquire new tools. I have a vast collection of power tools comprising of a 14V cordless drill, battery and charger. Can't wait to aquire such tools like a circular saw, compound saw and a hammer drill. My initial goals are to build a nice deck and pergola in the back yard. Will no doubt be sourcing information from the experts on this website for help. Cheers...Marcus

G'day Marcus. You've come to the right place to get all sorts of good information. If you buy tools as a job requires them you spread the cost and, more importantly, you don't buy gear just for the sake of ownership - eg what do you intend using a hammer drill for, as a priority?
More expensive tools usually do a better job, so saving what you can is the way to go IMHO.
