I have had the privlage of visiting Australia 9 time in the past 25 years. It is a wonderful place and I am glad to say I have an Aussie wife.

I have been looking at this site for a while now but was finding it hard to read because of my bad eyes. I had sugery on both eyes and now I can see what I am looking at.

I see some great talent and a nice group of woodworkers here. I have a full wood shop and a little machine shop. I like to tinker and make new furniture and restore antiques.

Happy Easter. I know you are a day ahead of us.

My wife is in Penrith north west of Sydney visiting her brother at the moment.

I am am sitting here drawing new pans for a desk. I had surgery on my thumb last week and it is hard to do any drafting. Think I will read more of your post and enjoy what you all are making.

I am not a complete idoit..... some parts are missing

Welcome Stocky, you sound a bit like me - I've had more surgical cuts then splinters in the last two years and will have boths eyes done in the next six weeks. Being able to see is going to let me get back to work soon. Hope to see some of your work posted here too.

I have been in for 6 different surgerys in the past 2 years alone.
I was scared to have eye surgery No pain and no problems with the eyes. It was nothing. LOL. Just make sure you put in all the eye drops they give you. I had to enlarge the computer screen just to be able to see. Now I can read almost everthing if it is not too small. I was at the swap meet this moring and I could read the names on some of the wrenches on the ground without my glasses. My wife has had a lot of family pass away in Australia in the past 2 years. She has lived in England, Australia and the US. I am sitting here missing her so much.
Thanks for the welcomes everyone.
Good luck with your eyes.
