Scenic drive / nice places to see around Bris/GoldCoast

I've searched and couldn't find anything and hope this is in the right section but see what happens.

I'm sure lots of you men/ladies have seen a lot of what there is to see around Brisbane and Gold Coast.

Tomorrow i've got the day off and going down for dinner in the Gold Coast somewhere. I'm making the most of the rest of the day by driving somewhere, dont know where yet but between bris-gold coast probably out to the hinterland. I want to go on a scenic drive and visit some nice touristy places

Can anyone fill me in on interesting places they've been?
-Wineries?
-Scenic drives
-Nice rainforest places


I've been to Sirromet winery, and a few other places, including O'Reillys Rainforest Retreat, but since looking on their website it looks like you have to book everything to do there? Can anyone fill me in on that?

Probably wont get many replies by tomorrow but at least I'll know for next time

Tamborine and surrounds have some nice spots and wineries. Springbrook is also good.

Keep in mind it's been raining heaps down here, and forecast is for more tomorrow, so the rainforests will be very wet :-
