I posted in this thread Here (http://www.woodworkforums.com/showpost.php?p=930305&postcount=1) a few days ago and now I find the post isn't there. Where did it go? I don't think the post was offensive to anyone, it was regarding a lathe that a member had put up a thread about. I didn't give it much thought until this morning when I was reading through another thread and one of the other members (boomeranginfo) mentioned that he had already posted in the thread and it now was missing. Can anyone enlighten me.? Is it just one of those things that happen?

There are no deleted or moved posts in that thread so maybe you didn't post it in that one, but another by mistake. This isn't exactly uncommon.
Either that or for some reason the post didn't work, but that's very doubtful.

Sometimes, a post seems to take forever for the software to respond, and the poster sends again. Then we see double entries of the same post. The poster probably thought the software had gone walkabout. On your post, maybe the software really did seem to go into the weeds. "Software" includes everything between you and the forum, especially all Internet connections.
Cheers,
Joe

Terry, have you had your eyes checked?
I can see a post from you at 9:01pm last night, and two from you tonight - one at 7:42pm and one at 7:50pm.
This is a long shot ... what is the address (ie, http://woodwork...) at the top of your screen?

Sorry Tony - Don't know what thread you're looking in but the post you refer to is there in the the thread by cub LOOK HERE (http://www.woodworkforums.com/showthread.php?t=93030) then scroll down to post # 17
Thats gotta be proof. I'm not going mad.
More likely to be proof that it's Terry who's going mad not you. :lolabove:
Like I said before there are no moved or deleted posts in that thread. Sorry, but anyone who thinks they saw it Wishful thinking. As administrator I and the other admins can see all deleted and moved posts in a thread and there definitely aren't any in that thread.
Cheers - Neil :U
PS munruben, if you're really worried about the alleged loss of the alleged post, do an advanced search for posts in your name around the date you think it was posted. You may find it somewhere else or not at all but at least it'll put this thread to rest.
