Hi,
I've just joined, and, as you can imagine, I'm still feeling my way.
But, already I'm amazed at the wealth on information that is available on this site.
I'm retired, after working in the IT industry - starting in 1962, when computers were a rarity, and it was a closely knit community.
I've always had an interest in woodwork, and over the years have finished numerous projects. However, my proudest achievement remains two speaker boxes I completed in about 1960. They were made from flat sheets (Hancock and Gore), with coachwood veneer, and finished with the two mixture Estapol - A and B.
I still have them, and though they're not in use any more, I wouldn't consider disposing of them. My wife uses them as flower stands.
Currently I'm learning how to do French Polishing, which I'm finding very interesting (and challenging!!!)
Best wishes to all
