Pardon my ignorance, but what is 50 n??

Graded washed sand can be purchased at most large landscaping supply centres (look up sand and soil supplies in the yellow pages). It is graded, but maybe not to the specification of (50 n ?).

Its the new measuring system we have invented Called the Don.
A Don is the biggest measurement you can get.
A "n" is the smallest one, being one of Dons nads. :D

I don't know what 50n means but I used to buy really good washed sand form an APM factory on the west (~~40 km) side of Ballarat very cheap. They wanted the clay for paper filler and the sand was a waste product but clean and the same size. This was in the 80's though.

Well with all the beautiful beaches you have in Australia it is to bad that you can not use that sand. The sand has salt and that will cause the cement or morter to crumble. I don't know what it means either. With all your out back I don't think you are short on san. Have a good day mates and thanks for the laughs. 50n and sand... mm ... the only relation I can think off is 50 Newton per mm2 as a mesure of concrete hardness at 28 days.

So this chap wants to purchase sand for heavy traffic concrete. Well I don't know that concrete has requirements for different tipe of sands, do you?
I would simply ring up the neares concrete provider and ask them.
