Strine ere,

Since I'm invited to prattle on about me for a bit I'm posting to this thread. I play in the shed rather than go to the opera or out for dinner. I've been known to go to the footy occasionally to support the local boys at Croydon but I usually rush back to the shed to carry on the current project. I tackle anything where the end result is a new skill learnt. If I learn the skill I might not finish the project, that's just me. It doesn't have to be woodwork either. In my time I've tackled all manner of material - wood, leather, fabric, paper, brass. That's not to say I'm any good at the new skills but the desire to have some appreciation of what's involved is generally achieved. I will say that I've managed to get resonably good at the forge. Anyway I hope I haven't bothered you too much and that this post goes to where I thought it would go

G'day Doug, and welcome. Isn't the English language a bugger for learning purposes? There are so many knowledgeable members here but I find it difficult to learn from them because of the words:?
