G'day Better-half, and welcome to the board. You can expect him to be absent for long periods and then to brag for longer - he will,of course, produce many items of great hysterical (historical) interest and value. Your job will be to encourage the effort and admire the failures. The cost is what he might have spent if he was into other hobbies but, of course, he'll be home and not at the pub, or football with his mates. Then again he may well create brilliant furniture, sell at wonderful profit margins, and make you very proud of the items you keep.
You should join him and also enjoy the fascinating pleasures of woodworking.

A. Nothing in the shed is new, he didn't buy it, it was always there.

A. If you want him to make anything he needs to buy lots of things to make it.

A. he can never have enough clmaps.

A. He can never have enough tools.

A. He needs it.

A. Let him buy whatever he needs to make something.

A. he needs a bigger shed.

:D
