Oh man!!! looks like my sewage system is blocked again. I had it block about 4 months ago and had the plumber out with his eel.
All sorted, then on Saturday i noticed the toilet took just that bit longer to settle so I though ok its starting to block again. So this time went out to the inspection pipe outside the bathroom dropped the camera in there again and expected to see a blockage where the last one was. NOPE no blockage, which means its further up towards the toilet.
I thought no big deal I will sort out a plumber for this week as we have a spare toilet and the shower was working fine, remembering the toilet was emptying fairly quick still. Well this morning I thought I would just check the toilet and gave it a half flush, this time the water stuck around for ages and the shower is now backing up!!!!!!!:)(
I cant understand how this could happen overnight as the family has been using the other toilet which runs downstream of the other connection so no issues of adding to the problem.
Thankfully I have a plumber coming out tomorrow afternoon cos I didnt want to have to pay for emergency rates (besides having to go work any).
The water will drain from the shower (very slowly) so it will be pretty quick showers tonight/tomorrow.
Ideally I think the piping all needs replacing but that means ripping up the bathroom floor which I will do when we renovate but until then i think this might be a common occurrence every few months :~
I am thinking of shoving the garden hose up the inspection pipe tonight (not turning on though) just to try and make a hole until tomorrow just to try and get some drainage. More to punch a hole through the blockage and then remove the hose.
Any thoughts on this idea as I dont want to make it worse?
