i have a ducted evaporative aircon i got from a salvae yard a couple years ago, its a 2000 model of some sort, some bonaire envirotech model. has the year 2000 stamped on a few places ive found. it didnt come with a controller, only a control box inside the unit.
i took the control box out and took to a bonaire place, they took one look at its internals and gave me a controller for it. they gave me a wired controller not a wireless one. the original unit was wired as the wire was hanging out of the control box for it.
the controller works fine but the fan speed will not change, it blows at about medium speed and wont vary with the bars on the controller. i can set the controller to minimum or maximum with no change in fan speed.
the manual is here for it so you know what type i have. http://www.bonaire.com.au/lib/pdf/owners/mf243.pdf
i have also read in an extract of a service manual for this unit that you can press a few buttons here and there on the controller to set the maximum and minimum fan speeds, i have done this but the speeds still wont vary even though the controllers speed numbers are varying with the push of the button.
Is there a trick to set the fan speeds for these type of units??
