Maybe, I don't know:- I mean, say for example I wanted to link to post 400 of the need another caption thread and display no other, what would the url be?
And how do you create that link 'here' in your post above?

That's easy.
Using your last post as an example:
http://www.woodworkforums.com/showthread.php?p=881849#post881849&postcount=1 (http://www.woodworkforums.com/showthread.php?p=881849#post881849)
OK, well it takes you to the post, but it doesn't restrict it to ony one per page.
Close though. :)

OK, to copy a post, where it says the number in the top right corner of each post, that is actually a link to that specific post, so if you right click and copy link location on the number it'll give you the URL.
As for the link in a word, type the word then highlight it and click on http://image-mirror.cyanide.com.au/woodworkforums/images/editor/createlink.gifwhich will popup a box for you to paste the URL into and then click OK.
