Good Morning Mates,
Running a little late this AM.
The quiz is as follows;
A fellow wants to apply edging to a counter top. Because it is already fastened and in place against the wall, he can't use pipe clamps. Does he need a special clamp of some kind , or can you suggest another solution?

Respectfully, ;)

Masking tape

Masking tape is good, but bracing it against the opposite wall by using some long four by two studs would be better. :D

You can also purchase (or make if your that talented) a set of clamps that attach tot he work surface and also have a "jack screw" passing throught the body to apply pressure to the edging.

Just like this one..

You could also buy an attachment from Super Cheap Auto's for about 0.85c to fix to a bar clamp to do the same job.

You could fix it in place with some brads.

You could cut some folding wedges, clamp F or C cramps along the edge and use the folding wedges to apply pressure to the edge. If the edging is thin, I would use cauls as well to make sure the pressure was spread evenly.

Good Evening Mates,
You all have a great supply of answers for this one and none are incorrect as all can be used for the job.
The Answer I have is to use a c clamp or hand screws and then use wedges to apply pressure against the edging.

Great job guys.

Respectfully, ;)
