Hi, Hope there is a professional out there who knows the best way to get a nice polish on African Black Ebony? Have tried Brasso(works on coral), boot polish and toothpaste. Any advise appreciated.Arkid in Rubyvale.

What are you finishing? Furniture finishing is different to wood turning for example.

I and many others on this forum will recommend ubeaut (http://ubeaut) (forum sponser's products), they really are great :2tsup:

How much prep have you done? What grit are you sanding to?
No doubt that short of gloss WOP, UBeaut Trad Wax will give an excellent finish.

Rob
