G'day from Sydney city... missing the country, locked up in an apartment in a ritzy suburb that doesn't say G'day much anymore... I LOVE THIS FORUM!!

Apart from the fact that everyone is so down to earth, I can't believe how many times a search for some info has led me here.

So it's new year's day and I've finally joined... thanks fellas!

You're welcome, City Kid, I am sure.

I understand your feelings, I think, having had to move down an year ago.

No, very few say G'day but it is a beautiful city, people are kind underneath. Try hard to make the best if it, as I know you are doing.

Well Kid you did the right thing registering here - if you fail to get the right answer to a problem then one is unlikely to exist, and by the way - G'day.:2tsup:

Hi Kid. I don't know about Sydney, but here in Melbourne ANYONE says hello if you have a dog, or if you are pregnant. (And then feels your tummy.) So if YOU can't do either of these things, you could prolly talk to OTHERS with dogs or pregnant ladies.:D

Welcome here though. It is amazing how often this sight turns up when researching. Even when I google myself (as you do:C ) this site comes up first.

I'm not sure your "making things saves cash" is entirely true. :hmm: Seems to cost a fortune in tools. But I guess that's our story and we're sticking too it.:D

G'DAY City Kid

You need to move to Darwin every one says G'Day well if they are sober enough :D

What part of the forum are you interested in?

Anne-Maria, let me introduce you to the secret to our success:

Borrowing friends tools! :p

Rum Pig, as I mentioned the forum keeps turning up for my Google searches for 'how do you do that thing to those little thingys' and 'how do i use this borrowed tool'.

I also do a little graphic design so I was pretty interested to hear about Sketchup in the design section. I use Corel (and got not a few smirks when turning up with color line drawings at the timber bloke).

P.S. I loved my hols Darwin!
