Hello - just signed up as I was looking for information on building a table myself.

We have quite a bit of "hardwood" timber that came from our recent home renovation. I don't know the variety just yet but it seemed too good to take to the tip. The wall studs are Oregon but the floor joists are very dark (almost black) and heavy.

Anyway, I hope to scout around at the projects and get some good ideas.

You might want to post down in the Woodworking-General section...should be some blokes there to help out.

simon d, in my younger days, I would return from the tip with nearly as much as I went! Not allowed, now!
