Hello everybody,

I joined the forum couple weeks ago because I want to start working with wood and know that the best way of starting out is learning from experienced people in the trade.

I moved to Perth 1 year ago and want to start making furniture for my house. I have many projects in mind (most of them big stuff), few tools but I have started already gathering wood for the most urgent needs.

I have been browsing the forum for info on initial tools, good books, local suppliers, etc and so far I have got a lot of guidance just looking and searching. I haven't looked at wood suppliers but that will be the next task.

Thanks for the support,

Rodrigo

Welcome to Perth

Maybe you should ckeck out the Perth Woodschool where you have an opportunity to use the machines and tools they have available for use at a reasonable cost per hour. Call Dave on 9358 0500 and check it out it could save you a great deal of expense at this early stage. Dave is also there to guide you in your design and construction of your projects.
