SWMBO was at a Swan's game in the ANZ Stadium, when she decided to get
herself a hot dog. As she stood up, I asked her to buy me a beer.

The young clerk at the concession stand asked to see verification of age.

"You've got to be kidding," she said. "I'm almost 40 years old."

He apologized, but he said he had to see some ID, it was policy.

When she showed him her driver's license, the clerk served her the beer.
"That will be $6.25, please." he said.

She gave him $7.00 and told him to keep the change. "The tip's for
carding me," she said.

He put the change into his tip cup and replied, "Thanks."

And as she walked away, she heard him add, "Works every time."

Good one, Roger.
Years ago I stayed at the Victoria in Melbourne. In the guests' bar was a high school boys' basketball team, all in track suits, only allowed to drink soft drinks. Also there was one of the mums, also in a track suit & with a short haircut. When she went to get an alcoholic drink, she was asked for ID. And very happy she was, too.
