I've been away from turning for quite awhile and would like to start again.:)
I notice that my Shellawax Cream has dried out and I'd like to know if there is anything I can add to it to make it usable again; Mineral Oil, for instance?
Thanks,
.....Gord

Depends on what you call dried out.
If rock hard throw out.
If it is still a pasty consistancy then get a small flat stick and stir vigoursly and see if that helps you want a smooth paste.
If that helps a bit but not enough a couple of drops of metho or liquide shellawax will help and again stir in well.

Thanks for the reply, Jim. :2tsup:
Can anyone tell me if Shellawax Liquid is also prone to drying out if it is left sitting unused for a length of time?
Thanks,

Gord what you will find with the liquid is that over time it will separate.
It usually just needs a really good shake and this gets it all runny again.

I had the same problem with shellawax cream. On the advice of Niel Ellis, the manufacturer, I added shellawax liquid to the partly dried out cream. That did the trick.
