Home theatre system Clicks when turning lights on or off in house

Have a plasma TV and HDD recorder and surround home theatre system, when turning ANY lights in the house on or off or when the fridge turns on or off there is an audible click coming from the speakers, if recording a program from the tv, the click also gets recorded.
is there any way ot stop this from happening? some sort of filter i can use???
