My name is Ken (ken61). I have been a woodworker for many years and a woodturner for about 15 years. (www.woodgoround.net (http://www.woodgoround.net))
I should disclose , I am the general chairman of Woodworkers Showcase a very large woodworking show in Saratoga Springs, NY now in its 18 year. March 28 and 29 of 2009. Largest show of its kind in the USA.
In case I say nice things about the show, you all will know why!
I have been reading the posts on this site and there seems to be some very interesting information and people here. The geography covered bby the members of this group is awesome !
This is the third time I have tried to post this. Hope it works.

Hi Ken, welcome.
Just took a look to your website, beautiful stuff, and functional, just what I like to see.
I suppose you learned it from your dad. As we like it to say, ''jong geleerd is oud gedaan'' = learned young is done at the older age.

welcome Ken, and your right, the geographic diversity of this site is awsome but that and the friendlieness of the members is what makes it so great.
At first you feel as though, if you post, people may think you are blowing your own trumpet but this is not the case. We are all very interested in other peoples projects and how they overcome any difficulties.
You sound like you have a lot to contribute so please do and don't forget the photos

G'day Ken,
As you say, this is a great forum where you can be sure that what you have to offer will be appreciated. You will also find we are always ready to give advice where necessary.
Looked at your web site and the high quality of work is obvious. I have one criticism. (Just so you know we are are ready wih that advice I talked of). Being in late middle age I find my eyes are just a trifle less sharp than of yore. Blue on black makes me squint a bit to see the writing.:U
