I think this comes under "other touchie feelie stuff" :D It is one year since my first post. which was this (http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au/showthread.php?t=61186). and now I can make handles, do turning (a bit:rolleyes:). Own some tools., and a lathe (which is soon even to actually move to my studio. (which I then will have to call a shed. Lathes get offended easy.:rolleyes:) And have lots of cyber friends all over Australia. (and the world?) And some real live ones that I have even met. (You others could be a figment of my imagination.:D) And I can work a computer well enough too post pics and links. Wonders will never cease.:rolleyes:

Thanks guys for a wonderful site. It helped me solve my wood problems, gave me new skills AND overcome the usual isolation that most hand workers are faced with working away in their own shed/studio.:2tsup: Hugs all round.:hug:

:cool::U

And I've even got a new job through this site. Not quite confirmed yet. But........:cool:

anne-maria, Congrats :welldone::yourock2::wave::kickass::groupwave: and you are a welcome sight at the turnfests - beats looking at ' s head all the time.

Now a couple of little things -
- make sure the Choc ripple cake gets shared,
- dont make better stuff than us cos us men like to be good. (well think we are)
- you might thank the other ladies/gals as well (sometimes they are a bit touchy about stuff like that - known to get emotional)
- did you ever work out the cats on the bus thingo properly:D:D

Cheers

Congrats TeaLady!!! It's been a pleasure seeing you expand your horizons. I totally agree that being here is a major part of what has been achieved. Are you gonna put curtains in your 'shed'?:D

TL,

Well one year already, congrats, your ceramic work along with the woody stuff has brought a lot of interest to the forums, which shows we can all aspire beyond our own horizons. This place gives you the opportunity to meet a lot of people with similar interests, and also to discover that we can all learn something new, although having said that I'm not quite ready to hit the pottery wheel yet, but who knows maybe next year.
