Western Red Cedar door stained........

I have a new Western Red Ceadar door which is unprotected and got wet. When the door dried it showed stains along the lines where it got wet. How do I get rid of those marks before I oil it? I was thinking washing the whole door and wet it all over so it should dry without marks........not sure if thats the way to do it. Cheers Reiner
