Hi. We have a stone home with a bunch of west-facing windows upstairs that are virtually unshaded. (there's a 2 metre roof overhang, but it's so far above the windows that it's not much use past about 2pm in summer) 5 good size windows, probably double or maybe triple shutters required. We must shade these windows from a comfort and energy efficiency point of view. The sun absolutely blasts in. Good in Winter, but disaster in summer. We considered roller shutters, but they would look...
