Hi, I live in a 1940s weatherboard house. I am replacing an internal hollow core door with an old federation door which I paint-stripped (oregon). I have also stripped the door jamb (pine) and arcs (cedar). My problem is that the door is about 16mm narrower than the jamb. I thought of two options: either cut off one of the vertical jambs and move it closer, or beef up the jamb on the lock side with 10mm x 86mm (that's the width of the jamb) pine strips. In either case I will have to move...
