Hi all, I have a small kitchen at the back of an old single front terrace. The original floor looks likt a concrete slab (painted green) and has couple of additional layers of cement on top (2-3 cms). The kitchen cupboards rests on the top cement layer. I want to remove the top 2-3cm layer of cement without disrupting the cupboards. Its cracked and not flat enough for tiling. Was thinking of cutting around cupboards with angle grinder and chipping it out. It separates easily at green...

hey mate if your concretes cracking insure u put a expansion joint threw your tiles by using to lengths of 8 mm aluminum angle back to back with bout a 3mm gap between them then fill the gap with silicone or expansion foam this will avoid your new tiles cracking and lifting and give your floor movement and play.good luck.
