Our local rag, the Tallahassee Demagogue (Oops! Sorry! The Tallahassee Democrat), occasionally applies printed stickers [like Post-It(tm) notes] to the front page of the paper, automatically. These may be last-minute advertisements, or simply cents-off coupons placed commercially.
On Tuesday, one of the candidates for public office had her advert placed thus. The newspaper had endorsed her Republican opponent. They published a few rebuttals, but on Election Day, her wording of "Democrat" superseded theirs.
BTW, the election is as yet undecided:

Somebody please forward this to the Sydney Morning Herald (with attribution, please), if at all possible.
