There must be something in the water of Portland Oregon USA. Have they tested it recently?

Many newspapers publish articles of Strange News as fillers on "slow news" days. And quite a few ISP's have links on their home pages for your infotainment (which is how I got roped in). Pity the poor ink-stained wretches who have to wade through this stuff; at least they get paid for it. I don't know if they're warned about it in journalism school.
Google ["strange news"] brings up a tonne and a half of links, and links to links, etc. This just in from Reuters about the Chinese posting food safety jokes on the internet: http://uk.reuters.com/article/oddlyEnoughNews/idUKTRE48M0AD20080923
