Hi there,
Loki and I had a great day at Ray's place, meeting up and having a play! Was good catching up with people I'd met before, and also met some new mates!
I did a bit of forging, had a go on some trick turning tool, and peeled a few metres of privet with a drawknife. Loki I think just talked and ate, and was ready for a kip on the drive home.
Scored a nice scriber, and a serious chunk of hardwood from the raffles.
Thanks go to Ray and his wife for their hospitality, and the pizzas in that wood fired oven were excellent!:2tsup: I still can't believe how fast they cook.
Good on you Neil for posting the pics.
Cheers,
munruben

Hi All, had a wonderful time today, came home with some hairy oak, a turned hairy oak pear, and a chunk of cedar, full, full tummy:2tsup:And all talked out :p Got to see a workshop, nicely set out, cement floor (green with envy) Met some wonderful people, some I have met before and some new ones.
Love this forum and so wrapt at being able to meet other people that are into creating things of beauty.
Thank you so much for hosting this get-together Ray, you and your lovely wife made everyone feel so at home and welcome, I hope you enjoyed the day as much as the rest of us.

Wow Ray and Allie, I hope that's spelling is right!
Pat and I had a wonderful day kicking myself for leaving the camera back at the B&B in Toowoomba.
It was great to meet old faces and put faces to lot of new friends. I have only been to a couple but this one had all the demos going on hard to catch everything.
Of course the best part was the wood oven fired pizzas. That's definitely a project when we shift to where ever.
Pat I even managed to climb to the top of Mt Kingsthorpe before the GTG.
Thanks again to our wonderful hosts for making us feel so welcome:2tsup::2tsup::2tsup::2tsup::2tsup:.
