I have a Wagner 650 HVLP spray system which states that you should only use materials with a flashpoint of 21 degrees or higher. I had intended to use Wattyl Stylwood on some projects I have completed and am currently working on, but the Data Sheet says that the flashpoint is 'less than 23 degrees'. I couldn't get further clarification from the Wattyl store, as to whether this meant it was just below 23 degrees, or considerably below.
How seriously should such flashpoint warnings be taken? Have others on the forum used Stylwood with a Wagner or other HVLP system with a similar flashpoint warning? Are there other quality lacquers with a higher flashpoint that I could use? Grateful for any advice.
