Can anyone help with the phone/fax/e-mail/address of Shines.

They used to sell to Stimsons in Sydney before they went bust.

Thanks,

Steevo

Shines moved from their factory to home about 18mth ago and are currently closed till late August.

We bring all our shellac in to the country in conjunction with Shines who keep it in cold storage till we're ready to use it. I can tell you now the last time I spoke to Robert there was no garnet and I have the last 300kg of Dewaxed White that was left.

Normally I could help but unfortunately I don't have any either and won't have any till the next shipment comes in late August / early Sept. Last time I spoke to Robert (couple of weeks ago before he took off) the larder was bare and there was 6 or more weeks till next shipment landed, this is why he's on hols till late August.

Not much help I know but that's pretty well all I can offer for now.

If you still want his phone number send me a PM me and I'll send it to you.

Cheers - Neil :)

PS If anyone has Shines phone number please DO NOT put it on the open forums. It won't make him very happy.

I believe Greame Brown Antiques in Toorak, Melbourne may have some garnet shellac. I have bought hardware from their extensive catalogue before and found the service to be very good. Hope this doesnt sound like too much of a plug but I wish I had known about them years ago. :U
