G'day guys,
I have recently located to the Northern Beaches and work in North Sydney. While my experience with wood is a little limited, I have spent a decent amount of time pushing metal.
I want to make a wooden engagement ring for my woman. I won't be here long enough to warrant buying proper equipment at my place (1 year). Does anyone have a suggestion for finding a place that will let me use/rent precision tools of some sort? Belt sander, lathe, press, etc? Maybe even a really nice local who would love a slab?
Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated. Hopefully when I get back stateside I will be able to get the equipment to turn more than just a piddly ring.
Cheers,
Blake
