G'day!

I'm glad to have found this site! Well done, whoever set it up.
I'm a 64 yo Chartered Accountant in a specialised practice in half my shed, on account of my still recovering from the effects of a nasty push-bike accident in late 1992 in SA, though nearly healthy now [only four operations in the last 7 months!].
Moved to hectarage [Bush, fruit trees, chooks, veggie garden etc.] here on the Sunshine Coast for health reasons in 2001 and haven't looked back.
Ex-505 dinghy & Ocean Racing sailor with a love of wooden boats - hence the interest in woodworking tools
I've been building an L. Francis Herreshof 12' yatch tender since before the accident - I'll finish it one day - in the mean-time I've got the [obiquitous in sunny QLD] Minnie the Tinny & go fishing on the Noosa & Maroochy rivers with my sons & wife, on occasion.
I've got a carpenter's bench, an original Mk3 Triton with all the extra's plus all manner of hand- [a lot from my Grandfathers, who were both Builders] & electric-powered tools,
I brew my own beer, bake my own bread & cook well enough
I'm looking forward to getting back on the push bike again soon, too...
TBC
Cheers!

Hi shed man, nice to have you aboard. Sounds like you have had a rough time of it following your accident, hope things continue to improve for you. Look forward to seeing more of your posts in the forum. The old Mk lll was, and still is, a great woodworkers friend. Had one for ten years or more and even though I have a new TS I still use the old Triton for certain projects. Have fun.:2tsup:

Hi shedman, wellcome on board.
Still recovering of a nasty accident as I read, be careful huh, 64 years of age tells me that you just like me not are a young dog anymore.
Have fun here with all the nice people walking around in this forum.

Hi shed man, welcome . I am only new to the site as well and find it great. Still use my old triton Mk3 for handyman jobs and find it a great help, only a bit on the noisy side. I am a keen bike rider also, sorry to hear about the accident and glad your on the improve. I only ride the rail trails etc and stay off the roads as much as possible. Cheers, Ivor.
