These are (hopefully) a bit more devious than the previous lot, which didn't last long. Enjoy!

1. Drive Rolls Royce into Lucerne, odd evens too. (7)
2. Charred remnant of mineral taken from the ocean. (6)
3. Russian John is visiting Emerald. City of a terrible wizard king. (4, 2, 2)
4. Former apprentice is a travelling man, going to join Michael in Ireland. (10, 4)
5. Some of bearded band settled in the valley, right at the end. (7)
6. Amorphous mass floated up and down once, and fifty. (4)
7. Douglas Short, on Home Box Office; “Why, it’s just a story about an apprentice baker.” (8)
8. Create the Deutsch moor by early measure, underside of the tele. (11)
9. Not to confuse this guy with silver rider associate. (5)
10. Solid excrement drifted into view, seems well-founded. (7)

Don't know the names of the forum members well enough to have a go at these!! But who is this??? (not trying to steal your thread, sorry - these clues are meant for you, outbackrr!)
Our undue thanks, but another cryptist kindly remembers right beginnings.
Mixed up crazy crout bark.
Too right after the bush.
Not in rear roller.
"Opus tibi" at cake, rare odds.

All done! Good work and thanks to all who participated. Hope you had as much fun as I did concocting them.

Thanks to Swifty I've been crypted in several ways.......

Just to expand on #8, for no particular reason.

8 fen (moor) der (D the) (under)belly 'early measure' is 'ell', by + ell = belly. 'Tele' is short for Telecaster, guitar by Fender

Would have never got that. I thought "underside of the tele" to be a reference to "the underbelly" on tele...vision.

... or: even s = seven , too = two.

Do you know the story of the two mathematicians counting a herd of cows? One counted the horns and divided by two, the other counted the legs and divided by four. :U
