Yes, this is a touchy feely post.

It is my 1000th post and I am posting it to thank all of the wonderful people that I have 'met' on this Forum. Neil and Pauline of course, I can't thank enough (and not just for getting me into the WWW Show for nicks), that chisel farmer up north who can't keep his car on the bridge and the 2 Wards who have been great suppliers of wood (and mossie bites at the pick up point).
Ruffly, Lesmeyer and Stuart have helped me heaps especially during times when the answer to a problem is nowhere to be found in any of the books or magazines. Nathan who has a very brave wife and is very generous himself only lives a stone's throw away yet we have never met! I still have that handsaw for you, Nathan.
Auld Bassoon was a great inspiration and I have saved most of his posts that contain his work. Steve from the Lumberbunker is a great guy (and not just for getting me into the WWW Show) but should have had 2 part epoxy glue for sale at the woodshow- no one else did!
Gazaly, Burnsy and Watson are 3 guys I would love to meet one day. If Richmond ever get to the Final, I'll be knocking on Gazaly's door to remind him of it, but somehow....I don't think so.
And whoever that person was who fixed up my posts where it kept saying that I had reached my maximum of posting. Thank you.
For all those people who swap timber with me and keep Australia Post in business, - thanks. Sometimes I just love going downstairs and looking at those boards - can't hear them whispering though!

Cheers to all, enjoy what you do. I hope you are getting the same satisfaction that I am, out of working with wood.

regards,

Graham

I am chasing you Graham, better keep posting:2tsup:

Like you I find there are plenty of people that I feel like I know just from hanging around here that I would one day like to meet in person. I have been lucky so far in that I have been able to put a face to many of the names on this side of the island.

Onya Graham.
Congratulations from the chisel farm on achieving Diamond status.
To celebrate I'll attach a picture of a long gone bridge that you once came to know and love.
Cheers from Tele Point

From the photo I just can't make out the pedestrian access footpath on the western side that sits about 6 inches (in the old system) proud of the roadway and is invisible on a wet night.

Graham,
I think we have all met some wonderful people on this forum. The great thing about it is that everyone has something to contribute. Even the smallest contribution may have a huge impact on someone just needing the little gem at the right time. In the same way that you learn from people on the forum, others also learn from you. Sometimes I say silly things (just for laughs). Other times I have rolled with laughter. Other times I have had a tears come to my eyes. We have all witnessed some sad times here. Yet the Aussie spirit is great and we rise again to meet our challenges and look ahead. I hope that you have many great experiences with the woodworking in the years ahead. Do keep up with the contributions and conversations.
Regards
Les
