I need to fix some 50mm x 39mm battens to concrete for an internal floor and was wondering if someone could recommend any options.
I need a damp proof membrane which complicates things as far as using glue goes unless there is a paint on membrane that I can glue to.
Cheers

Bondcrete mixed with water (Bondall actualy have a sealer version of bondcrete) broom it all over your floor this seals the slab. You can then still put plastic down if you want then ramset or drill and plug down your battens.

Thanks.
Any idea how close together the nails holding the battens down should be?

Use Selleys VBS to seal your slab.
Or lay poly film and tape the joins. You then shoot the battens down with ramset nails or drill and install spitz anchours.
Do yourself a favour and download the flooring installation data sheets from www.timber.org.au (http://www.timber.org.au)
Forget Bondcrete etc etc.

Thanks,
one of the data sheets from www.timber.org.au had exactly what I needed in regards to nailing battens to the floor.
