Brickie enters Alans barber shop in Wallan for a shave. While Alan the barber is foaming him up, Brickie mentions the problems he has getting a close shave around the cheeks.
"No problem ... I have just the thing," says Alan taking a small wooden ball from a nearby drawer. "... Just place this between your cheek and gum."
Brickie places the ball in his mouth, and Alan proceeds with the closest shave Brickie had ever experienced. He moves the ball, with some dexterity, between each of his cheeks as he follows the Alan's razor.
As Alan the barber comes to the last few strokes, Brickie asks in garbled speech. "What if I swallow the ball?"
"No problem," says Alan. "... Just bring it back tomorrow like everyone else does !
P.S.
Barry, who was waiting his turn for a shave, made an excuse and left the shop.
