I am looking to fit out a 6x9m shed soon to be built and want some workshop storage units. (... space for a car restoration and a comfortable man cave! :U)
What options are there?
1. At Bunnings there is some 'sexy' Flatpax workshop storage units.
2. http://www.directbuy.com.au/moreinfo.php?txt_itemcode=TY-028&txt_from=2&txt_searchstring=62&catcode=62
3. Kitchen or laundry flat pack cabinets and drawers.
A question would be how durable would these be in a workshop? I'll have a separate work bench.
Are there any other options?

Depends how handy you are?
If it were me, I'd decide how deep you want all your cupboards and shelves, and buy several sheets (or even a pack) of white malamine in that width. Measure up your heights and widths to minimise waste, cut, assemble and voila.
But that's me.

Make sure you get HMR (High Moisture Resistant) Melamine or your cabinets will soak up the moisture and inevitable liquid spills.

I was looking at those units today because I was thinking maybe I could adapt something like that as storage inside my new van. Overall I think they are just a bit too flimsy. They say the shelves can carry 75 kg (or 125 kg for the bigger ones) but they don't look like they would carry half that.

Just an aside - get the shed as tall as you can if this has not already been finalised. I have a 5 x 8 shed with 3.0m high walls (3.5m to apex of gable) and put in a mezzanine storage area for all those things we need to keep but are not going to use regularly...saves otherwise valuable undercover space being used for what it should be used for.
I could have made it up to 4m tall but thought it may have looked a bit too imposing in the yard - that would have made the mezzanine storage even more usable!
