My husband has attempted twice to tile our shower floor each time the tiles come off and crack. I think maybe we weren't waiting long enough for the glue and grout to cure. Someone told him he was using the wrong grout so he used flexi grout still didn't work. We bought an old house that has a shower enclosure with a cement floor and pink laminate sheeting. We can't find a shower base to fit the measurements are 1130 x 800 otherwise I'd buy a base/shower cubicle. Any suggestions I hate showering on a cement floor. We think water is getting behind the laminate sheeting as well. We had a building report done when we bought the house he said there was water damage near the shower area.

The concrete floor would need to be dry and clean (acid etched) prior to tiling. If there is any existing water damage you need to rectify this and any water leakage issues before attempting any improvements.
